Instagram Stirrers

Summer is on its way and here at Printicular we discovered lovely DIY Instagram stirrers that can add a unique touch to your party or wedding. They are also fun and easy to make. Photo by Ruffledblog For this DIY you’ll need coffee stirrers, 4×6 photo prints or photo paper, glue, scissors and a photo assistant programme like Photoshop. When you choose the pics you’d like to use (e.g. favourite photos with you and your spouse if creating stirrers for your wedding) size the photos down to 1.25×1.25″ using Photoshop. Customise the square to the right of each photo with your text  (e.g. “Share Your Photos on Instagram”). If you are using the stirrers for the wedding you can also add your personal wedding hashtag and your wedding colour scheme. Or you can simply replace the message with another photo. Photo by Ruffledblog After photo-editing is done you can print files as 4×6 photos at home with photo printing paper or using a photo-service at your local store. Printing Instagram is especially easy with Printicular. When you have as many photo prints as you like, cut each rectangle keeping the photo square and the text square connected. Then fold you printed rectangle inward, matching the corners and creating a clean fold. Unfold and add glue to the back of the square. Then place a stirrer in the middle of the square and apply some glue on the other square and press it on top of the stirrer. Make sure glue is adhering and smooth any air bubbles. Give your stirrers a day or two to dry and finally serve to your guests with some delicious cocktails. Photo by...

Cute Polaroid Magnets

Here at Printicular we discovered cure tiny Polaroid magnets that can add some charm to your home. They are also quite easy to make. Photo by Ambrosia Girl To make those magnets you will need cardboard or 2-3 sheets of cardstock for the backing of the magnets, craft knife, a ruler or a metal straight edge, clear packing tape, spray mount,  1 wide adhesive-backed magnet tape, Photoshop (or any other photo editing software), photo paper and printer. First, choose the photos you like and the dimensions of your future magnets. Then, using Photoshop, create a Polaroid frame layer and then place you photos on another layer on top.  When you’re finished with photo arrangement just print them onto photo paper. Spray the cardboard and the back of your sheet of photos with spray mount. Give it a minute to dry before placing the photos on the cardstock. You can laminate the photos by laying down bits of clear packing tape on top of Polaroids.   Photo by Ambrosia Girl Using craft knife trim your photos. Use the ruler/metal straight edge as a guide. Then cut out magnet pieces from the magnet roll. Make sure that each piece is of the same length as your Polaroids. Attach magnets to the back of each Polaroid. Instagram Hang Tags DIY

Creating your own hang tags with  Instagram photo prints is a great way to personalise your gifts as well as display and share some of your coolest pics with your friends and family. Photo by Postalpix To make these hang tags you will need Instagram photo prints, a tag craft puncher, a hole puncher scissors and some ribbon. Then using the hole puncher make holes for the ribbon (you can use a piece of string too if you prefer).  Finally tie the ribbon to the hang tags and attach them to the gifts.  Nice and...

Create Your Own Instagram Journal

Photo by A Beautiful Mess Keeping a personal journal allows you to capture creative ideas, inspiration and beautiful moments of your life. It can also be a fantastic way to display your Instagram photos. We discovered an easy D.I.Y by A Beautiful Mess for creating an exciting Instagram cover for your journal. Photo by A Beautiful Mess First and foremost, to create an Instacover you will need to know the exact measurements of the front of your journal and then add 1/2 an inch to the length and width. Then create a Photoshop document of that size and paste your favourite Instagram photos of different sizes to create a pretty collage. When you’re done choosing and arranging photos, print the document. Repeat the process to create the back cover. Then, use scrapbooking adhesive all around the cover of your journal making sure you get very close to the edge. Adhere your photo to the cover, pressing down on all edges. Open the cover and cut away the excess using inside cover as a guide so that the photo matches the cover exactly. Repeat for the back cover. You can use decorative tape to create binding all the way down the spine using 2 inch bits of tape. You can also decorate the cover with cool stickers. And that’s it – enjoy your pretty journal!      ...

D.I.Y. Instacalendar

Instagram photo prints offer loads of creative ways to display and cherish your memories and an Instagram calendar is definitely one of them. Although we’re almost half way through the year it’s never late to create a cute calendar with  your favourite photos. An Instacalendar could also be a unique beautiful gift for a loved one.   Photo by A Beautiful Mess To create this calendar you will need 12 photo prints, calendar pages (you can either purchase a mini calendar or make the pages yourself), plain poster board, glue, scissors, yarn and decorative paper for the cover (or anything else you feel like using). Photo by A Beautiful Mess After you chose the photos you want to use for the calendar and printed them in preferred size, you can trim the calendar pages and cut out 13 square pieces of poster board large enough to fit the images with a slight border. Then glue the images and calendar pages onto the pieces of poster board.  Use a hole-punch to add holes to the top portion of the calendar and make sure they match up with each other. Next step is to decorate the cover. You can make it simple and decorate it with some decorative paper (above) or add more photos (how about a photo collage?) or glitter or practically anything else you like. Finally, thread yarn through all the holes to put the calendar together, tie knots in the yarn and trim off any excess. That’s it, the beautiful Instacalendar is ready! Thanks to A Beautiful Mess for this...

It’s a great way to personalise your iPad cover and take your cherished memories everywhere you go. Not to mention that it’s so easy to make!   Photo by Lilblueboo To create an Instagram iPad cover you will need a blank ‘transfer-ready’ iPad case and transfer paper that you can get at your local crafts store. Then it’s time to choose the photos you want to display on your cover. You can select just a couple of pics or create a cool mosaic. You can resize and arrange your chosen photos in Photoshop or even Powerpoint. When you’re happy with the design, just print it onto the transfer paper.    Photo by Lilblueboo Then lay out the blank iPad case onto the ironing board and place the transfer paper with photos face down. Using a hot iron press into the paper until the images are transferred to the cover.  Photo by Lilblueboo When transferring is done, just pull the paper back and enjoy your...
